This new home built in the Sugar Bowl ski resort was engineered to withstand a 15-20 foot snowfall. The low pitch roof does not allow the snow to slide off so all the weight of the snow bears on the structure. The stairs were built on-site using locally milled timbers for the treads. The floors are a mix of walnut, concrete and steel panels.
